What is Giclée?

About Giclées
Giclée is a French word meaning “spraying of ink.” Giclées should not be confused with the lithograph printing method. Lithograph prints are subject to fading over time and the color quality is not as good. Giclées are a museum quality reproduction. It is the finest method of reproduction available today. Major museums around the world use giclées for their displays of art.

My giclées are of the highest quality available. They are printed on canvas and then put on stretcher bars, just like the canvas of the original painting. Long lasting archival inks are used. My customers cannot tell the difference between the giclee and the original. That is how close they are in color and quality. My giclees are sealed with a non yellowing UV inhibitor varnish.
